1 Introduction

MARTIN McQUILLAN
The Year's Work in Critical and Cultural Theory is a companion volume to The Year's Work in English Studies, also published for the English Association by Oxford University Press. It provides a narrative bibliography of work in the field of critical and cultural theory, recording significant debates and issues of interest to scholars working in many areas of literary and cultural studies as well as other interdisciplinary areas of the humanities. No bibliography of this kind can claim to be complete in its review of new publications. Authors, publishers and editors are therefore invited to submit review copies of journals, books and articles for inclusion in future volumes. Items for review should be addressed to YWCCT, The English Association, University of Leicester, University Road, Leicester LE1 7RH.
